What information do we collect?

If you contact us through the website, we process the information you provide: name, email, company and the content of your inquiry. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and related follow-up.

The website does not use tracking cookies and does not collect personally identifiable usage data. Where web analytics are enabled, we use a cookieless solution collecting only anonymous, aggregate statistics.

Legal basis and purpose

Processing of inquiry data is based on our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries and, where applicable, on steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6 GDPR and the Icelandic Data Protection Act no. 90/2018).

Retention and sharing

Inquiries are retained as long as needed for the correspondence and for a maximum of two years, unless a business relationship is established. We never sell personal data and only share it with third parties to the extent our service providers (e.g. email and hosting providers) need it to deliver the service. Such providers operate under data processing agreements.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, and to object to processing. Requests should be sent to kode@kode.is. You may also lodge a complaint with the Icelandic Data Protection Authority (personuvernd.is).
